A data-driven comparison of crypto debit and credit cards available in the EU and EEA, ranked by cashback rate and value. UK residents: see the dedicated UK guide linked below.
For most EU and EEA residents, Bleap is the standout no-fee pick: 1-20% USDC category cashback with zero fees of any kind. Prefer self-custody? Gnosis Pay spends straight from your own wallet with no conversion fee, and for staking-based rewards the Nexo Card is a strong option.
Europe leads the world in crypto card availability thanks to MiCA regulation and a well-established fintech ecosystem. From non-custodial DeFi cards to high-rewards staking-based options, European residents have access to the widest selection of crypto spending cards.
Key March 2026 update: The MiCA grandfathering period ends July 1, 2026. After that date, any crypto service provider without a full CASP license will be barred from serving EU customers. If you're using a card from a provider that hasn't yet secured authorization, plan accordingly. Mastercard also launched its Crypto Partner Program with 85+ companies, which should bring even more card options to the European market.
This guide ranks the top picks based on base cashback rate, fees, and regional availability. All data is verified as of April 2026.
Cashback: 1-10% (€25/mo cap) | Fee: €0 | Type: Debit | Base Rate: 10%
Category-based cashback: pick up to 3 active categories (changeable every 7 days) with rates of 10% Subscriptions, 5% Pets, 3% Taxi, 2% Gaming/Entertainment, 1% Groceries/Food/Medicine/Auto/Electronics/Beauty/Clothing. €25/month total cashback cap. Cashback paid in BTC or WBT (user choice), withdrawable from 5 USDC. Available across 31 European countries (EEA + Ukraine). 'Lite Mode' (flat 3%) was a limited-time promo Oct 15 – Nov 15, 2025 with €10 cap — NOT a permanent feature. 5% welcome bonus on first transaction for new users (since May 22, 2026). MiCA license received June 19, 2026 (Austria FMA).
Cashback: 3% | Fee: Variable | Type: Credit | Base Rate: 3%
Borrow against crypto collateral. Liquidation risk. Core rate 3% on first $2K/mo (raised from 2% in mid-2026), step-down: 1% $2K-$3K, 0.5% above $3K. Luxe/Pinnacle also 3%. What scales is the monthly cashback-eligible spend cap ($2K Core, $10K Luxe, $50K Pinnacle). Available in ~20 US states (excluded: AZ, DE, GA, ID, LA, MD, MS, MO, MT, NV, NM, ND, OH, OR, RI, SD, TN, VT, WA, WI — major states like NY, CA, TX, FL ARE available), EU, UK, Hong Kong, UAE, and others (171 countries total). Loyalty Points earn ~3,000 per $1,000 spent so $17K/mo spend keeps Pinnacle status without ETHFI staking. Tiers revert to Core if staked balance drops below threshold. $40 refundable deposit for Core physical card. Migrated to OP Mainnet (April 2026). Cashback paid in wETH.
Cashback: 1-4% XRP/GBP | Fee: $0-$99.99/yr | Type: Debit | Base Rate: 2%
Relaunched Oct 2025 after SEC/Ripple settlement. Two tiers: Essential (free, 2% XRP, $120/mo cap) and Elite ($99.99/yr, 3-4% XRP, metal card, no ATM/FX fees, $300/mo cap). Elite: 4% on crypto/metals, 3% on fiat/stablecoins. Essential was 3-4% at launch but dropped to 2% flat for signups after Jan 1, 2026. UK: Visa, 1% GBP cashback. US virtual card only (physical coming). Direct Deposit promo (additional 4% XRP) expired March 31, 2026.
Cashback: 2-10% | Fee: €0 (€5 card issuance) | Type: Debit | Base Rate: 2%

Subscription rebates (Netflix, Spotify, Amazon Prime, ChatGPT Plus, TradingView) at Tier 2+.
Cashback: 2-5% | Fee: $0 | Type: Debit | Base Rate: 2%
15-20% promo ended Feb 28, 2026. Ongoing rates apply ONLY to USDG-funded transactions (USDC/USDT spending earns 0%). After Brexit, UK and EEA availability is no longer guaranteed together. Cards like Bleap are EEA-only, while others like Nexo and Wirex serve both markets. Always verify your country is supported before applying.
Custodial cards (Bybit, Nexo, Kraken) hold your crypto on their platform. Non-custodial cards (Gnosis Pay, Bleap, Holyheld) let you spend directly from your own wallet, giving you full control of your keys until the point of sale. Crypto.com is also available in Europe but listed under Global cards due to its 90+ country availability.
Note: Many European crypto cards require token staking for their best rates. Crypto.com requires $50K-$500K CRO lockup for 5% (Private tier). Bybit requires $2M+ assets for 8% (10% is invite-only). Evaluate the opportunity cost of locking tokens before chasing high headline rates.
Watch for hidden conversion fees. Even zero-annual-fee cards may charge 1-2% on crypto-to-fiat conversion at the point of sale. Gnosis Pay charges ~1.5% stabilization fee. Factor these into your net cashback calculation.
If you rely on Apple Pay or Google Pay for contactless payments, check compatibility before choosing a card. Support varies:
Gnosis Pay cashback update: The GNO cashback programme (GIP-110) ended March 31, 2026. A replacement proposal (GIP-131, up to 8%) is pending DAO vote. Partner cashback from Zeal and PicnicBR remains available. Gnosis Pay still functions as a non-custodial spending card with zero conversion fees.
This matters more in Europe than the US, since contactless payments are the default in most EU countries. If your daily spending is mostly tap-to-pay, check the card's detail page for mobile wallet support.
Most European crypto cards settle in EUR, which works seamlessly in Eurozone countries. For non-EUR spending:
Since December 2024, the EU's Markets in Crypto-Assets (MiCA) regulation provides concrete protections for crypto card users in the EEA:
July 1, 2026 deadline: The MiCA grandfathering period ends on this date. Crypto service providers that were operating before MiCA took full effect must have obtained a CASP license by then - or be denied authorization. After July 1, any unlicensed provider will be unable to serve EU customers. If your current card provider hasn't announced MiCA authorization, check their status before the deadline. Additionally, the EU's new Anti-Money Laundering Authority (AMLA) launches in 2026 to directly supervise the largest cross-border crypto firms.
For UK users, the FCA provides similar (though not identical) protections. The UK's own crypto regulatory framework is still evolving, so protections may differ from the EU's MiCA standard.
Tax treatment of crypto rewards varies significantly across Europe:
Always consult a local tax professional for your specific jurisdiction.
Many crypto cards serve the European market, including Bybit, Nexo, Bleap, Gnosis Pay, Kraken, and others. The EEA has the widest selection of crypto debit cards globally, partly due to MiCA regulation providing regulatory clarity.
Tax treatment varies by country. In many EU countries, crypto received as cashback may be taxed as income or miscellaneous income. Capital gains rules differ significantly between countries like Germany (tax-free after 1 year), France, and the UK. Consult a local tax advisor.
Bleap offers 1-20% USDC category-based cashback (1% general, up to 20% on streaming/AI subscriptions) with zero fees of any kind in the EEA + Switzerland. Nexo offers 0.5-2% with no annual fee in the EEA/UK. Both are strong no-fee options.
Some do and some don't. Cards like Nexo and Wirex explicitly support UK users. Bybit no longer supports the UK. Others like Bleap are EEA-only. Always check the specific card's supported regions.
